Original Cast Member Tyler Maynard Returns to Off-B'way's Altar Boyz

Maynard earned much acclaim and Drama Desk and Lortel Award nominations for his performance in Altar Boyz. He left the show in July to prepare for a role in another off-Broadway musical, Miracle Brothers, which ended its limited run on October 16. His other theatrical credits include Mamma Mia! on Broadway, the Encores! mounting of Bye Bye Birdie, the tour of On the Record and the pre-Broadway mounting of Good Vibrations at Vassar College's Powerhouse Theater. Maynard can also be seen in the Todd Solondz film Palindromes.

Maynard's replacement, Danny Calvert, will play his final performance on January 8. When he rejoins the show, Maynard will be appearing opposite original cast member Scott Porter as well as James Royce Edwards, Dennis Moench and Nick Sanchez.
